Hello All:

Shown below is an listing of a 1956 Packard 400 that is for sale due to the death of its owner, a member of Motor City Packards. His childern asked if could we help them in the sale of their father's Packard.

’56 Packard – 400, 2dr.HT, Rare ‘V’ code (all Corisican Black), Pushbutton Ultramatic recently overhauled. Code ‘85’ black cloth / white leather interior was recently professionally restored. New Radial Tires. This very strong cruiser is solid and very original. 78,000mi, Detroit area. $16,000. Andy (312) 504-4380.

Several members of MCP have seen and run this Packard in the last few days. The car is currently located in Livonia, MI and a family representative in Chicago is taking phone inquires. However, arrangements can be made so that an MCP member will show the car locally.

With this rare paint code, overall condition and value pricing it should not be available long.

This is the best photo available. It was taken by a cell phone from one of the MCP members that checked out the car for the family. I believe the family has now taken more photos by now. Please contact them.

Update:

The family members (son-in-law) have posted an ad on the Hemming's website where there are 24 high-quality photos. You can link to it here:

Ad says the price is negotiable.

Just trying to help out a Motor City Packard member.
