Re: Packard police?

Saw this '51(?) in the Collectable Cars Museum at Nelson New Zealand in 2014. Don't know if it's "real" or just somebody's representation of what a Packard police car might be.

Re: 1947 custom super deluxe. Inline 8

2122 is a '47 Custom Super Clipper Eight Touring Sedan per the Model Info page on PackardInfo.com - https://packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modu ... ?model=183 Usually followed by XXXX. ie 2122-XXXX. So, because its missing the rest of the number sequence, it is somewhat unusual.

Re: Engine re build

packuk,

About 10 years ago rebuilt the engine in my '41 120 including sleeving it back to standard. Sleeves came from Kanters and when the delivery guy handed my wife the box of sleeves she almost went through the floor because of the weight of the package. She wasn't impressed!

Joe,

My congratulations as well. I've enjoyed following along from afar as you've returned your Packard to "better than new" condition. Well done!

Re: How to properly remove battery from 1935 120?

If it's anything like other Packard seats of this era the seat doesn't really pivot/hinge at the front. There are tabs at each side of the seat frame which wedge the frame into the bottom framework attached to the floor. Just needs some force to lift the front of the seat up first, the back will the...

Re: Origin of 1946 Clipper 6

G'day Stan, Over on the PackardInfo Website there's a list of Packard dealership but unfortunately not the one you mention. However there are 2 listed for Wenatchee, maybe it's one of those. Here's a link http://packardinfo.com/xoops/html/modules/dealer/index.php?sort=ASC&field=Country&Type=&pos=320...
