I can't tell you anything special about your car, but I can tell you that if you got it from the Packard Dealer in Eugene Ore in 1953
was a firm called; Robertson & Perry Co. perhaps this will help......

Re: Limousine Intercom Systems
I don't have any wiring diagrams on the intercom, but I can report that my 1939 1705 has such a system. This was a very late production # car. It was sold at PMCC New York, a company store, so I guess it could have been added post factory. I'm missing part of mine, but the amp/speaker box is located...

Re: Pre War Henney Production Numbers-A Story
A recent conversation about WW2 and Packards prompts me to add this story on HENNEY ambulances. Based on the best information I have; the US Navy (medical dept) contracted for 100 ambulances in Dec 1941. This was for a largely standard 1942 ambulance except that it did not have the rear windows on t...

Re: Do these cars still exist?
1958 Packard Build Sheet; Newest Packard I should have called your attention the "final assembly date" on this factory production slip. It is July 22, 1958--which makes this car assembled in the last couple days of Packard production. So.. It's as new a Packard as you can find anywhere--only 56 year...

Re: Do these cars still exist?
RE:1958 Packard Undercoat. I got a copy of the factory "build" slip from the records at South Bend. It lists the color etc to be built and it notes undercoat was ordered. A copy of the final order sheet attached. As you can see this was body #588 out of 588. All my numbers match those on the factory...

Re: Do these cars still exist?
At least some of the later S-P models received undercoating at the factory. My '58 Packard Hawk shows undercoat on the invoice and inspection of the car reveals that even today quite a bit of the tarry stuff still on the car. It's still got the rust bug in some places but on the whole I think it did...

Re: 1960 Henney Kilowatt Sale
I note that this Henney has been re-listed (at the same price) . Elsewhere I saw what appears to be an electric transaxle setup for the Kilowatt
for sale. The photo is a bit fuzzy, but shows the heart of the Henney; likely taken from some poor condition unit.

Re: Rare Civil Defence Henney Found
Earlier we had speculated on the cost of purchasing a Henney. Courtesy of the Motor City region, here is a price list of examples of ordinary models that offer us a look at the costs involved from a sample 1939 price list. Considering that in many areas of the country $5000 in 1939 would buy a new b...

Re: Rare Civil Defence Henney Found
N E A T!!! I am glad that you found this valuable plate. The numbers in comparison to the CD from Oregon confirms that they are indeed two different Packards. They compare: Your Cd ---------------- Oregon Cd Engine# AE317661D ---------------- AE318194D ---------------------------- E=1942 D=Cast iron...

Re: altered engine number
This A/C setup sounds factory. I have a friend who owned a '54 Packard with air for awhile. As he was a Frigidaire Refrigeration tech. also--he got it going in short order. I believe his had 2 rear package shelf rectangular louvers, with the basic unit just below in the trunk. It was a VERY GOOD A/C...
