I put corks in the drain holes (even the 2 small hidden ones) started with a valve that IS NOT stuck, compressed the valve spring, took out ...

Might put some Marvels Mystery Oil in the fuel AND oil (sounds like snake oil but has been around forever) Packards are kinda bad for stuck valves when parked for a while. The slight tapping noise (that I heard back when mine ran) might be either the star...

Re: Help! low oil pressure on 49

How 'bout a little history? Has the car just been resurrected after sitting in a shed somewhere for years, or has it been running (road worthy) recently? I'm assuming we are talking about a 356ci engine. Is it a 22nd series '49 or a 23rd series '49? Does the car still have the factory installed oil...

Re: Blown head gasket orrr?

I am going to keep messing with them and try a little acetone up top in with the MMO. it is so scummed up that the MMO just sits up top and does not even run do...

Re: Blown head gasket orrr?

I am hoping that I will get lucky and be able to get away with I really good cleaning. Not sure tho as the intake on the #1 seems "more stuck" then the rest of them. So I went out there after letting the MMO sit, got a wood dowl, put it in the center and hammered them down. They were WAY to stuck fo...
