Type of antenna used on '37 115-C coupe

I've heard that the "chicken wire" on the roof of 1937 115-C coupes was used as the radio antenna. I've seen photos of some 115-C's with a side-mounted telescopic "cowl-mounted" type of antenna. Is the side-mounted cowl antenna correct, or must I use the chicken wire roof insert? Were there any othe...

Type of floor covering on '37 115-C coupe

I was wondering what type of floor covering a 1937 Packard 115-C business coupe had when it came from the factory? I'm guessing it came with a relatively plain rubber "mat" that covered the entire floor, rather than carpeting of any sort. Can someone enlighten me on this subject? If indeed, the orig...

FOR SALE: NOS TRIPPE LIGHTS

FOR SALE: One pair of NOS 8" Trippe Speedlights. These are in the original box and are in beautiful condition, complete with the original wiring, and what appears to be a NOS correct foglight switch to go with the lights. They do NOT have the mounting brackets, but I've seen several companies offeri...

1937 115-C wheels for sale

I have 5 wheels from my '37 115-C I now have no use for, since, thanks to the Flackmaster, I now have my artillery wheels! All are in excellent condition...I repainted the 4 that are (were) on the car, back in '92. The 5th (the spare), still has the original paint & pinstriping. These are off a car ...

"Falling" sunvisors on my '37 115-C coupe

Both of the sunvisors on my '37 115-C coupe keep slowly "falling" down...I push them up, then as soon as I hit a bump ("bump" is a nice term for Massachusetts roads, most are in deplorable condition, bordering on impassable!), they both fall down, & it's driving me crazy! Aside from removing them co...

Correct radio for a '37 115-C?

I recently acquired 3 radios, each one has a plate affixed to it that says "Packard Custom Radio". I also found 2 original round speakers, each one is approximately 9" in diameter, that go with the aforementioned radios. I spoke with another '37 115-C owner last evening. He's restoring a '37 115-C c...

1937 Packard 115-C numbers

I recently re-acquired my 1937 Packard 115-C business coupe, that I had regretfully sold in 1993. On the firewall there is stamped in large numbers the following: 376493. The data plate has the following info: 1088-5926 and a date: 4-19-37. Can anyone tell me what the large numbers on the firewall m...
