Re: My First Packard - '37 115C Sedan

Congratulations on acquiring your first Packard. These Six Touring Sedans are wonderful automobiles, and yours looks like a good example. A rich source for parts is David Flack (Flackmaster) in Dallas, Texas. He is a frequent poster on the Packard Info website. Please keep us posted on your progress...

Re: Wheel interchange - 1947 Clipper DeLuxe 8

You might be able to locate a wheel that will fit your Clipper, but Packard used a tapered dowel to help locate the wheel when installing due to using lug bolts instead of studs and nuts. You would either need to drill a hole in the new wheel to fit over the locating dowel or remove the dowel. Even ...

Re: Facebook Packard groups-hot rodded Packards

The Texas Packard Meet has a class for modified Packards. We will get one or two at each Meet. No one takes offense and some of the modifications are interesting and usually very well executed.

Re: Wheel interchange 1957

Re: '38 110 rr fender probs

You might check with David Flack and/or Will Rose. They have parts for the pre-war Packards. If they do not have a fender they might know of where one is located. I believe they are both in the PAC membership directory. Good luck.

Re: '39 Twelve, outstanding original

Dave, it is a beautiful motor car. I know of an unrestored 39 Twelve Formal Sedan (column shifter) that is as nice or nicer. The best part, I got to drive it! The mouton carpeting in the rear passenger compartments of both Packards is a bit strange, in my opinion. I wonder how many others there are ...

Re: Overhead Cam "356" Packard engine

Bob, how did a valve hit a piston in a flat head engine? Did the valve head come off? Otherwise, can't see how this happened. Just curious.

Re: Packard - profits & losses, fun and games with numbers

Interesting evaluation of the data. I note that Packard highest selling year was 1937, but it was not its best profit year.

Welcome and congratulations on your Packard. Trunk appears to have a pen strip decoration. Not original.
