Re: Wanted: 1951-1954 Henney-Packard Tail Pipe for Template

Hi Ernie, The problem with it for most commercial places is the diameter and wall thickness. They said that smaller pipes are no problem but on a 2” diameter pipe with .050” wall, the machines would simply crush it and few could do the specified large radius in front of the rear axle. One place in W...

Wanted: 1951-1954 Henney-Packard Tail Pipe for Template

I'm looking for an intact 156" wheelbase 1951-1954 Henney-Packard Tail Pipe for use as a template. I have the factory blueprint but no one has been able to make the pipe from it due to one large radius and even some compound radii. I've contacted antique auto exhaust specialists, modern exhaust comp...

Re: Testing an R11 Overdrive Relay

Thank you very much! The view of the relay was exactly what I needed to see. The relay arrived a couple days ago from a vendor who said he had no way to test it so I want to at least be sure the coil is okay. Cleaning the contacts (if necessary) can be done later. I don’t yet have any 6v batteries b...

Re: Testing an R11 Overdrive Relay

Howard, which terminal is which on the physical relay? It’s easy to see which is power but it’s not clear on the others. Thank you.

Re: 2018 PAC National Meet in Columbus, Ohio

Great photos! I could use one of those 1965-1966 Imperial front clips as shown in the outdoor photos if it were available! I suspect not, though.

Re: 1951 Packard henney

Old post but the standard Packard tanks of the era were nearly square as I recall to make room for the spare tire well in the trunk while the Henney tank is distinctly rectangular. The tank appears to be unique to the 1948 to 1954 Henney-Packards according to the parts book. The Henney through 1954 ...

Re: 1941 Packard Henney ?

A little late again as I don't visit here often and don't seem to get notices of posts but as I recall my 1941 Henney-Packard had a 5½" bolt circle, same as the wheels on my '50s Henney-Packards and they even use the same 7.50X16 6-ply or 8-ply tires. Not sure what the 160 and 180 passenger cars had...

Re: 53 packard ambulance/hearse

My Packard / IMPERIAL page specializes in postwar Henney-Packard parts and, while the tail lights aren't listed specifically, I do have the housings without lenses. I haven't checked the Packard parts book but they should be the same as any 1951 to 1954 senior Packard except the 1954 Convertible and...
