Re: Mechanic or Shop Recommendation
I thought I had responded to everybody's thoughts months ago. But just discovered I had not. I found a shop in southern Georgia. They determined it was the timing that was off. By about 40 degrees. Have no idea how this could have occurred. I thought we had checked the timing. If we did, we were way...

I decided to purchase from Potomac Packard. They do cost a little more but the quality sounds better. The delivery time is 4-6 weeks. So I am still waiting for them to arrive. I will let everybody know when I get them and the instructions they provide.
Thanks for your advice.

Re: Mechanic or Shop Recommendation
WJAMES I understand your question. The answer is yes. I had driven it about an hour and stopped by the gas station and filled it up with non-ethanal gas. Then parked it. It sat for about two weeks and then it would not start again. It was then that I found water in the spark plug wells. If you have ...

Re: Mechanic or Shop Recommendation
Thank you all for your suggestions. I will try and address each of your thoughts. The distributor cap does not exhibit any cracks. No wear is noticeable on the inside contacts. I have replaced the rotor cap. Eventhough the old one seemed fine with little wear. There is no wear on the distributor sha...

Thank you for your recommendations. I sent an e-mail to Potomac Packard yesterday requesting a quote. I also sent a message to Harnesses Unlimited with the questions you recommended I ask. I will try RI Wiring next. I'll keep you posted.
Sincerely,
REB

Re: Mechanic or Shop Recommendation
Adam, I have looked for more than year and I have not been able to find any mechanic or shop that wants to try and diagnose and fix the problem. The mechanic friend I have is very knowledgeable. But he still cannot find the problem. I have checked the coil and it appears to be fine. I tried my spare...

Mechanic or Shop Recommendation
I have a 1937 115c that has developed an electrical problem and it will no longer start. When I purchased the car I changed the battery cables to 0 ga, replaced the plugs, had the starter rebuilt, replaced the points, condenser, spark plug wires. I drove it 4-5 times in a 1 month period. One day I f...

I have a 1937 115c and it has a rigged wiring system. I want to replace with a correct wiring harness. Looking for advice on best vendors to purchase a wiring harness. I have looked at several. Prices range from $600 to $950. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
