Need some help with my floors...
Hello, I have a 1950 standard eight 4 door. My floor boards are gone around the edges. I am looking to build floor pans, rather than buy them, not only because I have more time than money, and also because this car will be used and driven in the summer as a daily driver. I got the car for next to no...

Packard compatible wheels
Maybe this should be in Drivetrain, but I just went with the closest subject. What are you driver guys doing for wheels? When I bought my 50 Standard Eight, it has one "correct" steel wheel, which looks like it either uses a full wheel disc, or a center cap with trim ring, while the other 3 are chev...

Re: Dual exhaust
That was my intent, but I was told by an older gentleman that they used to make a split manifold or split header for packard straight eights. I am assuming it's was completely custom and made from scratch, but was wondering if anyone else has come across this. But yeah, I definitely want the dual lo...

Dual exhaust
Any Eight owners out there that retained their straight 8 but put dual exhaust on it? How was it done, and what did it take parts wise? Looking into this for my project. Thank you

Roger that. Thanks for the info! I may do just that, or work with what I have.

Re: 1950 straight 8 interchangeability
So I would have to get the whole drivetrain if I wanted to go with the 356? Is.it even possible without major fabrication to swap it out? Only curious, because I am building a driver, not a numbers matching original. And fabrication is no worry of mine either, but just wanted to know compatibility s...

1950 straight 8 interchangeability
Hello, new member here. Proud owner of a 1950 Standard Eight 4 door, 120in WB. (Thanks to JD in KC for identifying it) my newbie question is are the straight 8 engines interchangeable, or will you need the whole drivetrain? I have 288 ci, and was wondering if I could go to the 327 or 356? Any info w...
