Re: 1949 Packard 8 Club Sedan

This has really been an amazing voyage as we have traveled with you during this restoration. Personally, I look forward to each new installment of your blog to see what ideas you have and how you go about completing this project. I completely agree with a previous poster that said this could become ...

Beautiful Packard! If it were here in the USA or I was in Italy I would be very interested but I am well aware of the high shipping charges these days. I wish you a lot of luck in selling it. I'm sure you will not have any trouble getting a good price for it. I'd love to see additional pictures and ...

Steve, welcome to the club first! Second, to attempt to give you some sort of answer to your question, you should be able to upload the file by going to the "Upload Attachment" tab you see directly below the Text Box when you are entering your text for posting to the site. A lot of it depends on the...

Joe, when you said, " I don’t want this car to just be running but to be something much more than that." I thought, "This car is already WAY beyond the point of being "just running". You are well on your way to having one of the nicest Anniversary Packard Automobiles on the road today. I'd bet that ...

If you have the title it may have the model or body number number on the title but that is not always the case. If it does have a Series Number it would be either 433, 533, or 526 and would be some help. The body number, which is the one you are really looking for, will be three digits and start wit...

Re: How accurate are the NADA price guides?

I mostly agree with Dave except I usually expect the price to be about 33% LESS than the NADA Classic Guide suggests. Classic car values are still down in the USA and have not yet recovered to their previous highs. As the economy continues to improve, and increasing numbers of people get older and m...

Freddy, I have friends in Jackson, about 70 miles from Memphis and family in Nashville so I may be in a position to help. Did you find it on Craigs's or some other way. Please let me know via PM.

Re: Hood Ornament, is it real OEM?

The wings simply slide into the slots in the back of the bird and are held in with a wedge from the enlarged hole in the bottom/(rear) of the bird. It is very possible that the wedge was lost when it was taken apart. If so, there is little I can suggest to you because I have never really measured on...
