Re: adding available accessories to a car

If you are going to add accessories be sure to only use ones from Packard. J C Whitney stuff stands out like a sore thumb. Also just use a few, as the car can get gaudy quickly. Seat belts are a different issue, put them on your car regardless of who made them.

Packard Owners Service Policy

I have the original Packard owners service policy as well as the owners service card for a 1946 Clipper. The serial number is 1612-2138. The car was delivered by the Earl C. Anthony dealership on April 9th 1947. If you have this car, I will send it to you for free. This belongs in the car glove box ...

Re: Date of Production

I removed my rear seat bottom when I got my 56 400 about 15 years ago. The original build sheet was laying on the floor. Who knows, you may get lucky by taking out the rear seat bottom.

Re: Old Packard Accesory

I don't think it is a real Packard accessory. I believe it was a project from a club or person about 30 or so years ago. I thought it looked not too good then and I feel the same now.

110 mph in 1973 at the Packard Proving Grounds riding in Roscoe Stelfords 1956 Caribbean. We have the 25 laps on CD. Still brings a smile to my face.

Re: 2013 PAC National, Pontiac MI

Dave, glad you had a good time. I live about 3/4 mile from Greenfield Village and enjoy being able to go there for a few hours at a time. The meet host team of about 50 members worked hard to put this event on and hope everyone enjoyed it.

Re: History search of '54 Patrician

Pete used to be quite active in the Packard club. I have not seen him for years but I understand he has a wrecking yard in PA. Some of the eastern seaboard Packard people should be able to get you in touch with him.

Re: Panther sells for over $800,000 in good 'ol Scottsdale..

I jointly owned a 56 Caribbean over 35 years ago that had the fancy robe rail arrangement on the rear of the front seats. It had clear glass all around. The story I got that it was a late 55 that was converted for early photos and press releases for the 56 models. The clear glass was supposedly for ...

Re: Perrysburg Meet 2013

No Perrysburg show this year. River Raisin Packard's has postponed the show until next year in order not to interfere with the national meet hosted by Motor City Packard's in June. It was felt it could impact attendance at the National meet and draw help away from the host committee.
