Re: Is this a Packard vehicle?

Don Shields,

The experts on the AACA Website, after some discussion, also settled on '37 Oldsmobile 6 Cylinder Sedan.

You were right all along!

Re: Is this a Packard vehicle?

Looks like fuel filler is on right rear fender, if so, would eliminate '38 Packard. I've also posted the photo on the AACA Website "What is it?" Forum for their identification. The many eyes there are pretty good at this. Already had one ID - 1939 Chevrolet. See this link - http://forums.aaca.org/to...

Re: Help with the definition of the car model?

From my point of view I consider "Darrins" to be custom built and not comparable to assembly line production cars. Plus I believe many Darrins were updated with later model features especially front clips.

Re: Help with the definition of the car model?

I'd be very circumspect in regard to identifying that this Packard left the factory looking like it is now. It's like a dog of uncertain and mixed parentage which, here down-under, we'd call a "bitzer", ie bit of this, bit of that! ;)

Re: Checking in - 49 Deluxe Eight Touring Sedan from Europe

G'day Dutchman, Like Dave, welcome aboard! About 2 months ago I bought what was thought to be a 1949 Eight Touring Sedan here in Australia but turned out to be '50 Eight Touring Sedan, identified by the 2392-5-42982 VN number. Here's a link to my blog on PackardInfo on the car - http://packardinfo.c...

Re: Visits to Automotive Restorations, Lebanon, NJ

Dave, In the link below to a Hemmings article about The 2018 Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance is a picture of a 1910 Packard Thirty Gentleman’s Runabout of Stephen and Susan Babinsky. Is this the same car you pictured on Page 3 of this thread? https://www.hemmings.com/blog/2018/03/14/gallery-the-20...
