Re: 1942 Convertible

I agree. Unless he provides factory or dealer information about that specific car, the seller/owner may be playing on the old trick, "The buyer could get anything he wanted since it's a Packard."

I know of a good appraiser in the Philadelphia area who might be able to help you out.
E-mail me at StelvioGT@yahoo.com for information.

Re: 1932 Packard Fire Truck

Only the very early V-windshield Dietrichs were placed on the Super 8 chassis, and ONLY in 1932. This one, if originally a Dietrich, would have been a convertible victoria. If indeed it survived until recently, and with values of the Dietrichs at $1 million plus, the likleyhood that it remains a tru...

Re: Judging Changes

I agree with you, Dave. Unfortunately, several single-marque clubs have already gone down this slippery slope and added a class for "modified" cars, figuring it's the only way they can continue as a club. That's the problem with wanting to increase the size of a club without first figuring out why y...

I guess you cannot convince everyone, but there isn't any basis for the doubts. The car is authentic.

Re: 1933 V12 Convertible Victoria

At first I thought it was this car, but the man who owned it bought it in 1941. Cool, though.

There are only TWO listed in the Classic Car Club directory. One in California and one in Washington.

Re: 1933 V12 Convertible Victoria

My mistake. For some reason I've been discussing Super Eight. Maybe because when you mentioned 1105, that would signify Super Eight.
I now see you're talking about a Twelve. That would be a Model 1005.

Re: 1933 V12 Convertible Victoria

There are probably more than four, as I've googled at least two more: one is black with silver belt-molding with California plates; another is creme with carmel fenders and Michigan plates. In any event, there are NOT very many. I do not know you, so I can't give you contact information of any of th...

Re: 1933 V12 Convertible Victoria

If it was a 1933 Super Eight with flat windshield, it would have been a model 1004. Black with red interior... good color combination.
There are only four listed with the Classic Car Club, two of which are in New England, one in Illinois and one in Colorado.
