Re: Non running engine

Hi, and welcome to the Forum. You are asking a common question as related to old cars that have set out for many years and you have gotten some good general advice already. Maybe I can expand on that a little to give you a little more insight. You first need to know if the mechanics of the engine ar...

Re: 1927 Cross reference parts

I have a 1920s-1948 Hollander Classic Car Parts Finder. This is a car parts interchange that gives you all of the major parts that interchange between any cars of this time frame. Is there a particular part you need looked up? Or, you can just order one direct from Hollander at their website new for...

Re: New to Packards wondering why I waited

As Flackmaster suggests, finding a man who has just one can be the hardest part of asking someone a question about Packard automobiles. The vast majority of us who but one cannot stop there and eventually, even sooner rather than later, buy another, and another; until either available cash or the Wi...

Re: 1937 120 COUPE FOR SALE

I would venture a guess that it is worth at most half of what he is asking and I would not want to give over $2000 for it myself. For everyone else, here is the direct link to it:

Re: I'm back

Fred, you are very right about relieving history just some of us are relieving our parents history instead of our own. I remember Mom setting around with my aunts talking about one car they had that the steering wheel retainer nut was lost and the steering wheel could be lifted up and off easily. Mo...

Re: Engine identification

Then it looks like you want to identify a head and not so much an engine. That head may fit on more than one engine. Hollander may give you a parts interchange for it and let you know all of the models/engines it fits.

Re: which 1948 Packard did I really own?

Ouch fred, I bet you caught the dickens for that crease. It is in one of the harder body areas to fix properly because you really have to partially disassemble the door and front clip to get to it without filling it with plastic filler. Since you now own it again, how does the passenger door and fro...

Re: Just a quick question

You are asking a question that cannot be answered as asked. To give you an answer of any kind we would need the year and condition of the car at the very least. There can be a big difference between model years and between an original survivor, older rebuild, recent rebuild, or parts car. Gene

Re: 1955 Packard Clipper Constellation for sale

Now you asking a harder question. I rarely buy cars I haven't seen unless I have a lot of faith in the Seller. Now, having said that, I just bought two without seeing them in the last two weeks but I got good pictures PLUS, the one driver is from someone highly recommended and someone I talked to lo...

Re: Looking to buy a Packard

Eli, I'm really sorry, and please do not take this wrong, but we consider it impolite to hi-jack (use another person's thread to post and try to get information about your own car that is completely unrelated to the original car) another user's post to start your own material. You already have two d...
