Re: renting an enclosed trailer for National meet

I have rented enclosed trailers before. They are fairly easy to find. All you have to do is do your research on-line. Search for "enclosed car trailer rental" or use the word, "hauler". It took me about 2 hours to find one the last time I looked and I was living in Greentown, IN about an hour North ...

Re: 1927 433 chassis

Since it is relatively easy to get it right why not do so? If you are dealing with wood you can easily push in one corner while holding the other still in a block of some sort. Re: Fuse on the back of the radio?

AH, Howard to the rescue again. Thank you Howard for your timely intervention before I got him to far off the path. Somehow I was thinking it was attached to the rear of the radio instead of to the side. Thanks again, Gene

Re: Fuse on the back of the radio?

First, a disclaimer, I am not up to date on the 1952 250 Models. Now, based on my experience with cars in general from the early 50s through the early 70s, it is generally easier just to take the radio out than to try reaching in there and finding something on the back of the radio. Most radios from...

Re: 1939 Packard 6 Front Motor Mount

This is a picture of the center mount. It should have bolts sticking up on both sides with one set going through the cross-member and the other through the engine mounting bracket. It is a good one inch thick. On the one pictured, the bolts on the frame side sheared away leaving the mount attached o...

Re: 1939 Packard 6 Front Motor Mount

On my 39 Super 8 it mounted metal to metal on the engine and through rubberized mounts on the front cross-member. Gene

Re: New guy w/1937 Packard Six Touring Sedan

Dennis, I've got a book and a couple of other references that may help. If you want to shoot me a couple of part numbers and names then I will test it out and see if I can find the car it fits for you. If this works out OK you can give me your entire list and I will transpose it for you. Welcome to ...
