radiator cap

Does anyone know a source for a radiator cap for a 1940 with 356. Never seen one exactly like this one. It is an a/c but with the exception of the patent numbers, the only marking I can find is 45 over 4 1/2 written like a fraction. Love to find a number I could get locally. My 47 356 is different a...

1940 160 exterior door handle

Only one of the doors on our 1940 160 locks. It is the front seat door on the passenger side. Something has broken internally and the handle goes all the way around and does not open the door. Though it is a senior, it is a Club sedan and Jim Hollingsworth told me for some reason Packard used the jr...

Re: Fan belts for 1935 model 1201

Thanks Dave. You have been a big help to me in the past. When my friend called, he mentioned the process much as you described. I am always amused by comments such as you made about your car going into hibernation. It is just the opposite in south Texas. Mine don't often get out in the 95 + degree s...

Fan belts for 1935 model 1201

I am helping a friend with his 1935 model 1201 standard 8 (320) sedan. He needs only the belt from the water pump but both appear to be identical. Does anyone have a modern number that might be available at Napa or O'reilly's. If not, is there a good source on line etc. I don't have one of these in ...

Re: 1955 Packard Clipper Custom for parts

It appears to be a near complete car and could be restored as a driver. If you are not interested in getting it going I would check the salvage value, add what it cost to bring it to the current location, and then add a little more for your trouble. They are not particularly high dollar cars even wh...

Dual Exhaust on "55 Clipper Customs

I recently saw a picture of a '55 hard top with duals and I have seen them before. Our '55 Custom Clipper sedan does not have them but I have been considering adding them. Was that an option on the Custom Clippers or were they added after market. Maybe just the hard tops had them? In '56 the top of ...

Re: 38th Annual Texas Packard Meet

Sorry, I missed the 2014 when I proof read. The 38th Annual Texas Packard meet is obviously April 10-12 of 2015.
