Thanks for the NAPA number. The outlet on the radiator is 1and 13/16 and the diameter on the thermostat housing is 1and 9/16. I could find a flex hose with the right length,13", but the ends were either too big or two little.

Does any one have a current number for the upper rad. hose on the 352 v8? I spent a couple of hrs in parts stores to no avail. Thanks!

I never really did understand the thought process behind the 8-volt conversions. It seemed so much simplier to just clean the battery and ground connections, use proper sized cables, and rebuild the starter if it's current draw was out of specification. 1947 Voltage Regulator

Our '47 356 has an autolite system but the battery and voltage regulator were changed to 8 volts. The V.R. is bad and I want to go back to a six volt battery and V.R. Does anyone have a number that I can use when I visit NAPA or O'Reilly. I don't mind the more frequent light changes but the 8 volts ...
