48 Packard front shock oil

Post by Hotrod47 » Tue Jan 21, 2020 8:51 am

What type of oil can I use in the front Shock absorbers on my 1948 Packard.

The manual shows that that there is a fill plug but does not mention the type of oil to use.

Thanks

Randy

Hydraulic Jack oil is one product that many use in the shocks and others suggest using motorcycle fork oil which is supposed to have better anti-foaming properties compared to the jack oil.
