Good Evening,
I am new to the Packard fraternity and dont have a lot of information on my car. Its my understanding that early Packard information is scarce if not non existent. I purchased my car from the widow of the previous owner, who passed away tragically in an automobile accident. Unfortunately, she hasn't been able to provide any background. In any event I don't have any information on my car so I am turning here to see if anyone recognizes it or its numbers.
The car is titles as a 1929 Packard 645 Deluxe Eight. Chassis #168638. Engine#167956. Under the passenger front seat is a Dietrich "body number" tag that has 1560 stamped on it.
I have included some pictures and thanks in advance for looking and your time.

Ps. If it is of any assistance I purchased the car in the Albany, New York area

There are certainly folks around in both The Packard Club and the Classic Car Club of America who are knowledgeable about the 6th Series big Packards, I'd suggest getting in touch with them, and I'll send you one possible contact by private message. I'm not aware of any records to show how many 645 Dietrichs were built but I believe there have been one or more replicas built so authenticity can be a question when purchasing one of them.

Would you be willing so share the vehicle number and theft-proof (large embossed # on the cowl) numbers?
