We have a 1940 Packard Convertible Sedan and want to know better how to describe it. Dad said it was a 120? We have the VIN #. Can anyone provide me more information with this. Seems to have a lot of extras and my brother-in-law thinks Dad told him this was a sample color that wasn't even supposed to be released. We will be auctioning this car in April via online auction from Atterberry in Columbia MO. Thanks for anyone who can help me create the listing. Its taking us several years to sell off his vast collection of automobilia items and now the 7 cars left.
For confirmation that it is a model 120, please provide the vehicle number. The number however does not include information about the original paint color, the best way to determine that is via a careful examination, looking for places where the original paint was not stripped or painted over. The nearest original color to what I see in your photo was paint code E, Laguna Maroon Metallic. Paint code information can be found by going to "Reference" from the main home page of this website.
thank you for your help. Trying to read the number but might have to have sister look once again when she goes to that building. Looks like 1397-2067 or maybe 2057? Still trying to figure out how this forum works and keep forgetting to get on here and look again
