Interpretation of Data Plate

Post by DGABY1105 » Sun Feb 07, 2021 8:59 pm

Greetings All !!

One of the members of our local group has recently purchased a Packard with
a number plate with embossed print reading:

PACKARD MOTOR CAR

VEHICLE NUMBER

2112-19569

PACKARD SPRINGFIELD INC

SPFLD MASS 4-26-47

There is other writing but it is very faded. I have attached an image in case people can interpret other information.

Can anyone tell us if this means it was built in Springfield or that it was sold by the dealership in Springfield?
