7-45 Sedan awake after a long slumber

Post by Dave Czirr » Thu Dec 21, 2017 5:48 am

The lovely Packard illustrated below has just been purchased by a friend of mine here in New Jersey, it's a style 423 5-pass sedan. There is good reason to believe it's the only remaining example of this type, one wonders how many others have been sacrificed to produce phaetons or roadsters.

As always, left-click to enlarge the photo.

That's awesome, Dave. I didn't know these were that rare. Does your friend intend fix it up?

Owner's plans are unsettled at this moment, as far as I know.

Just in my own view, it's one of those "tweeners". If it were 10% better you'd for sure take steps for preservation of original features, and if it was 10% worse you'd consider some restoration.

What a beautiful car!!!! I would restore if it was mine, but alas it isn't. Looks like as big as a house!
