Hello, I just stumbled upon this forum while searching for info on the Packard 1D-1700 Aluminum Marine engine. I'm looking for info for a friend. He has a surplus NEW one that he acquired. He said it was going to be put into a museum boat (Mine Sweeper) but never was. The museum decided to go with another ship. The boat it was going in and the original engine was scrapped. The new engine was sold off. He would like to get specs on it. He may also be willing to sell it. He thought about putting it in a shrimp boat but it was to large. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Dennis

Weight: 3580 lbs
Bore & stroke: 5-3/8 x 6-1/4
Valves: 4 per cylinder

Thank you Dave for the quick reply. I'll have to tell my friend about "Master Motor Builders". I think he would like to have that.

A magnificently researched publication. Out of print but I suspect used copies are easily enough found.
