1935 Packard Hearse Info please

Recently Acquired a 1935 Packard Hearse with no History. Runs and Drives, and all original as far as I can tell. Any info on this particular model would be really appreciated.

Interesting vehicle! A picture (or the information from) the vehicle number plate would be useful for identification. Any indications of the coachbuilder's identify anywhere on the body?

ill snap a few more pictures today of the tag etc. Was built in Ontario and shipped to Vancouver, that's about all I know..

Interesting hearse, looks to be in good condition. Though I can't shed light on the specific coachbuilder but can see how it was built. Your '35 120 hearse started life as a standard production Body No. 893 five passenger sedan, factory priced at $1,060. The conversion entailed stretching and inserting the section between the door sets, enlarging the rear deck-lid to a rear door, mounting casket handling platform and equipment. It was a practical approach to building a specialized vehicle.

Do the roller panels flip up? If so,, what does it look like underneath?

Here is picture of the tag, I will take more pictures of under the rollers. There is also a wooden object that was in the back I have no idea what it may be, it's too small to accommodate a casket..

How nice that the patent plate has survived! It tells us that the car was manufactured at Packard's plant in Canada and as someone previously surmised, the starting point for conversion was a 1935 "120" 5-passenger sedan (body type 893). The original sale by Consolidated Motor in Vancouver is also nice to know.

Consolidated was located at 1230 West Georgia Street in Vancouver. Mr. A. W. Cruise was the President and General Manager in the 30s. Other Packard dealerships in the area were in New Westminster (Pacific Motors), Princeton (Logan's Service) , and Trail, (Butorac Motors), B.C.
