102 MPH in 1973... on the Packard Proving Grounds on the banked track. Went faster in another Packard on the way to Las Vegas on I-15... but that's another story!

So what model & engine??
I could kinda appreciate it at the time but not like I would today, we were on the Packard track during a Ford meet in the early 80's.
Can't remember if we got much above 60 but it was cool, at least I can say "BTDT"

85 mph in a 1937 Super Eight Five Passenger Coupe with high speed rear end on the interstate heading to Wheeling WV to visit Packard man E W Stifel III. A great run, the driver Michael Rapp, Daimler's head of steering systems. Comment "Packards drive better than our thirties Mercedes cars." Amen to that!

110 mph in 1973 at the Packard Proving Grounds riding in Roscoe Stelfords 1956 Caribbean. We have the 25 laps on CD. Still brings a smile to my face.

87 mph on the test track at the 1982 PAC National. I was driving a (very) tired 1956 Patrician with a passenger, and a stick/overdrive transmission on the floor of the rear seat.

In September 1999 after having the engine rebuilt in my 56 400, but not bored out, just new rings installed.
Had the engine rebuilt just before the 1999 Warren meet.
I was leading the way into Mt.Pleasant, Pa with my friend in a 63 Pontiac Catalina with a 421 following me.
I kicked it down and we moved down the road together.
My speedometer was broken, but he told me he was doing 105 and I was steadily leaving him.

1982 PAC Convention, I was a passenger in Louie Baird's '56 Caribbean, on the Packard test track. 100 mph on the curves, 125 mph on the straightaways.

My Brother bought a 55 clipper, new car, we were traveling to our deer camp, and a straight stretch of highway, he put the pedal to the metal. The speedometer's last number if I remember correctly, was 120. But the needle dissappeared, not sure what the actual speed we were going, but I know we were well over 105 or better.
