Checking the 1935-1941 Master parts list, it looks like the exhaust manifold is specific to that year only. It shows part number 334552 for the 17th series (1939 model year) Model 1703-3A-05. The 1940 and '41 Super Eights have different numbers for their respective years so it appears that none of them are interchangeable. Even the manifold gasket sets carry different part numbers from year to year so I can only conclude that only a 1939 Super Eight manifold will fit a 1939 Super Eight engine. Perhaps someone with direct experience with these engines will chime in with better word for you. I hope so. Best of luck with your search.

Thanks Don,still searching, seems that 1939 super 8 was a very unique year therefore making parts very scarce .Now looking to have my manifold repaired but from what i am learning it takes someone with experience on cast welding.Ill keep searching Thanks

Steve at Automotive Restorations in Lebanon, New Jersey makes a specialty of welding repairs to cast iron manifolds. Expensive and slow process. 908-236-6400

went to visit Steve Babinsky at Automotive restorations in NJ.He suggested I keep searching for a manifold before attempting to repair the one I have.Very intense and expensive procedure. While I was there he found a 1937 manifold that seemed to be the same as the 39 for fitment. The 37 was in need of repair also .So iI will continue to search and possibly find a 37.My 39 does have a part number on it ,hard to make out but looks like 335650. The 6 may be a 5? If anyone has any leads it would be much appreciated Thanks

Glad you made it to Steve's. In case you have interest, here are some views from my prior visits, I try to get out there 5 or 6 times a year.

I believe the number you mention is a casting number, the actual manifold part number (which may not appear on the part) is 334552 for LHD, there was a different manifold and part number for the Super Eight in RHD. Finding a good one won't be easy but you might start by contacting Dave Flack in Texas.
