Original 1924 Model # 1941 Packard Vacuum Cleaner

Post by Tenbear » Mon May 13, 2019 11:26 am

Good afternoon, my name is Adam Reynolds, and I am an antique dealer. I recently acquired an original Packard 1924 model #1941 vacuum cleaner ; When you bought a Packard automobile, you would be given a free Packard vacuum cleaner with purchase. Anyways, the unit STILL works, and is in great condition ( only the power cord is somewhat tattered ). For the right buyer, we are seeking $1,500 OBO. I am truly, very grateful for your time, thank you so much..

Here is a link to pictures of it.

I also have a model 1941 Packard vacuum cleaner, I do not know if it's the 1924. But this one's all original still works. Is it worth anything do you know?

Please note that the Packard vacuum cleaner is unrelated to the Packard automobile, just a coincidental use of the same name.

From what I have dug up, and searched for in person ( been to literally over 50 Antique shops by now ) I came across an old ad from the early 1900's, involving "a Packard Automobile", that offered a complimentary "Packard Vacuum cleaner" with purchase of said automobile. I saw it, in a vintage newspaper snippet ( early 1940's ), the snippet was inside of an antique bread making book, because it had recipes for different pastry's etc, and the Packard ad happened to also be on there. Unfortunately, the store owner is a miserable old bat, who did not allow me to take a pic..
