37th Annual Texas Packard Meet

Post by JWL115C » Tue Dec 10, 2013 9:27 am

April 4-6, 2014 are the dates for the 37th Annual Texas Packard Meet. It is held annually at the Stagecoach Inn in Salado, Texas just fifty miles from Austin on Interstate 35.

This is the nation's oldest regional Packard meet and probably the largest. Last year there were over 60 Packards and approximately 200 people from all over Texas plus eleven other states.

Participants enjoy an early bird tour, seminars, swap meet, "People's Choice" competition, banquet, and awards program. There will also be a meeting of the P.A.C. national board held in conjunction with the meet.

For information contact the meet registrar at bclark@stic.net or 210-922-1300. You may also go to http://www.texaspackardmeet.com.

Just a note about the registration form. The 2014 form will not be posted until January, pending information on meal prices from the Stagecoach Inn.

Michael, thanks for posting this link. Neat to see the Packard rolling down the Interstate at 70 MPH.

As we are getting close to the 2014 Texas Packard Meet in Salado starting April 4, I thought it would be interesting to share some numbers from the 2013 Meet.

111 - Master Registrations

16 - States Represented

17 - Clubs Registered

67 - Packards Registered

200 - Attendees

Truly a major gathering of Packards and those who are interested in driving and preserving them.

See you in Salado!!!

Deadline for registering before the Meet is March 19th. Those who have registered by this date will be included in the roster handed out at the Meet. This roster list is valuable for contacting others at the Meet. Onsite registration will be available at the Stagecoach Inn in Salado, but the fee will be $35 instead of the regular $25. Also, there will be a special registration on Thursday, April 3 from 7-9 PM for early birds who want to participate in the Friday morning drive. Early or late we'd love to see you and your Packard.

By this time next week the 37th annual Texas Packard Meet will be history. It is shaping up to be one of the largest, if not the largest, Meet with 66 Packards registered and 95 master registrations so far. More are expected to register on-site at the Stagecoach Inn in Salado. Look forward to seeing you there!
