A group of the local "Packard boys" again made the short (less than 1 hour) drive to Greenwich yesterday. This was the 20th Annual and I believe I've been to all but 1 or 2. As always quite a lovely experience - a lovely venue at the Roger Sherman Baldwin Park on the water and the entrance to Long Island Sound, and near-perfect weather. Packards were well-represented; 1907 Model 30 Roadster, 1932 903 coupe/roadster, 1934 1108 LeBaron dual cowl phaeton (replica), 1936 1401 convertible coupe, 1940 Darrin convertible, 1941 LeBaron Sport Sedan, 1948 Custom 8 convertible, and a 1954 Panther. Among the other cars that caught my fancy were a 1910 American Underslung, 1910 Rambler touring, 1914 Pierce-Arrow "38", 1921 "barn find" Stutz Bearcat, 1926 Kissel Speedster, 1932 Studebaker President convertible sedan, 1932 Chrysler CL convertible sedan, 1928 duPont Model E convertible, 1938 Lincoln LeBaron convertible sedan, and a1952 Chrysler Ghia SWB prototype. Also the Bonham Auction tent had some interesting pieces; 243 Packard touring, a delightful 1932 Desoto roadster, 540K Mercedes-Benz, 1937 Packard Super Eight phaeton, a exceptionally nice lovely Kaiser Darrin, and many more and what must be one of the rarest cars present, a 1914 Car Nation, a company that only existed for 1 year. The 1937 phaeton was curious because it did not have a coachbuilder's tag or plate but 1936 was the last year that Packard offered a factory-built phaeton.

Some photos to follow later in the day.

Great pictures. Sorry I could not make it. Had a prior date for King George III's Birthday celebration at New bridge landing hosted by the 4th New Jersey Volunteers.

That stunning red and cream Studebaker sure caught my eye, but I'm totally in love with that 1910 Packard 2 seater......model 18 or 30?
