Doing some work for a client who wants to take the car to Pebble Beach, want to get authenticity right the first time.

Anyone care to let loose the Masonic secrets?

Don't know who might be an available authority. Some restoration shops that specialize in these cars are authorities in their own right. Alternatively, one might start by looking at 6th and 7th Series Packards that have scored high at CCCA Grand Classics.

You can check the "Roster Keepers" section of this website (on the left-side on the "front page").
