I finally have my 47 clipper running and am driving it. It seems to be ok except for some fairly minor problems. It is somewhat hard to start, and I am almost certain the problem is with the carb. I believe the problem is that it is not getting gas when I first try to start it. After starting it runs fine and will idle very well. The problem is the same if the car has not been used for a while, or if has been driven and the motor is still warm. Also, when driving it the car will stumble under sudden acceleration. I don't think the problem is electrical. I have replaced the generator with an alternator, and I believe the battery is fully charged. A carb rebuild kit from Kanter has been installed, but I don't remember a new accelerator pump being in the kit. Could that be the problem? Any thoughts will be very much appreciated. Thanks
