V12 engine weight

Post by Bluedevil » Tue Feb 26, 2019 1:09 pm

I am getting ready to pull my '38 V12 and wanted to have enough capacity on my lift and engine stand, so I would like to know how much it weighs?

Thanks

Bill

Hi Bill,
Leafing through the Mechanical Specifications available on www.packardinfo.com, the weight of the 1937 V12 with clutch and transmission is listed at 1322 lbs. The 1939 V12 with clutch and transmission is listed at 1346 lbs. Unfortunately they don't have the 1938 specs., but the weight of your 1938 shouldn't be vastly different from these. Good luck with the pull.
