'50 vs. '55 Packard Wheels ---Hole Pattern Different?

Post by Tubby50 » Sat Mar 20, 2021 8:18 pm

Greetings, Newbie to the site, considering buying a '50 Packard project (Standard Eight, 4 door sedan) but it's missing both rear wheels. The seller states he has a few extra '55 wheels (Patrician) but doesn't believe they'll fit onto the '50 rear drums. Can someone confirm whether he's right? Along these lines what is the bolt hole pattern on a '50 Standard Eight ---5 X 5" or ? Is there a substitute modern steel wheel that will do the trick? Thanks in advance for any answers you kindly share.
