1934 thermostat

Post by sslaugh711 » Fri Mar 26, 2021 10:21 am

I got a new one from Max Merritt. Any tricks on changing it out? Any pics and instructions out there? Plan to use penetrating oil on screws.

Just a little nervous. Doesn't look like there is a top or bottom so assume it doesn't matter. Thanks

No special tools, techniques, or concerns, its just a straight-forward "remove and replace". When finished adjust your linkage if necessary so that when the thermostat is at full extension, the shutters have reached their fully open position. Then check to make sure that when the system has completely cooled down, the shutters have returned to their fully closed position.
