1930 packard 733 coupe

Post by Marc1122 » Sat Dec 01, 2018 8:37 am

I just recently joined this site as I am the owner of a 1930 733 rumble seat coupe now.
This is the first packard I have owned. It's all there but needs full restoration.
I have a couple of questions to begin with.are there any prints or drawings out there as far as the wood structure of the car goes?
The seat springs are there but in bad shape. Is there anybody that reproduces these?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Marc, and welcome!

Snyder's Antique Auto Parts (the Ford guy) at one time made seat spring assemblies for many makes of cars, worth giving him a try. If not, I have no other source to advise of that I'm aware of.

On the wood, I think you're generally going to have to use the original pieces as patterns, I'm not aware of any blue prints or kits though they may well exist as many Packards of this vintage have had their structural wood replaced or repaired by the more competent restoration shops. You might want to start by contacting Penn Dutch Restorations in Glen Rock, PA.
