Replacing the Door Latch spring

Post by John 3:16 » Mon Dec 10, 2018 4:45 pm

Good evening,

I am having a problem replacing the spring on my front door mechanism. I have a 1937 super 8. The latch is on the front passenger side with the key. Can someone please help me. Here is a picture with the broken spring on the left.

Thanks

Are you sure that's the correct replacement spring? There are so many of them that all look nearly the same but aren't.

Is there somewhere or someone that I may order the door latch spring for my model car?

Thanks

There are quite a few variations, Restoration Supply has 3 or 4 of the most common configurations: http://www.restorationstuff.com/pdf/Res ... ompany.pdf

Download the catalog, then go to page 46.
