32 Rear Fenders

Post by GJBINSC » Mon Feb 25, 2019 9:31 am

Does anyone know if all the 9th series cars used the same rear fenders ? I assume the coach built cars would not, but in the many photos of 9th series cars I have seen, they all appear to use the same rear fenders. Apparently there are a couple of different part numbers, so they may not be all the same, but they sure look that way.

Perhaps I didn't look carefully enough but I didn't see any different part numbers for the Eights and Super Eights, I didn't check the Light Eight and Twelve, I guess that's where you saw different part numbers?

Actually Fred at Max Merritt saw the difference, so he asked me what other 9th series cars that may be the same. Without actually measuring them you might not see the difference. Could it be that different models used a new part number, but the part was actually the same ?

I have neither the Light Eight nor the 1932 Twin Six parts lists so I can't go further without them. But the chance of identical parts having different numbers when used on different series or models?, zero I'd think unless by pure error.
