I think I posted this several years ago, and I have received some advice that I'm sure was good several times. I need to replace the interior metal trims at the interior windows. They came off pretty easy with some minor bending, but going back on is not that easy. I have a photo from the service manual using cord to hold back the weatherstripping to work the trim piece around the window wing. Tried it a lot, both rear windows, no dice. I am told that it requires strength, but that hasn't worked either, it just won't fit into the wing window corner. I think my only other option is to remove (hacksaw off) the flanges that are supposed to fit under brackets on the door around the windows, and just rely totally on the screws (there are about 10 of them). Big mistake? Any help greatly appreciated.
