headliner for a '46 Clipper 6

Post by Stan W 98370 » Tue Aug 18, 2020 9:05 pm

The headliner for my '46 Clipper 6 completely rotted away and was gone before I got the car, so I have nothing to go on. I have the bows, and figured out how the headliner tucks up under the tack strip. But how do you go about patterning the new headliner? Do you sew pockets for the bows in it? How do you figure out where and how big such pockets should be? and what type of modern material would be appropriate to use? Any guidance on how to get started on the headliner would be much appreciated.
