I thought I read somewhere that a Packard Club member does dash woodgraining - does anyone know how I can get in touch with him?

Thanks
Dwight

Lots of local guys do faux wood finishes now. There are probably three or four who are outstanding right here in the middle of nowhere Baton Rouge, Louisiana. They generally do this for doors on homes or making imitation marble fire places, but it shouldn't be hard to find someone locally who's capable of doing the faux wood treatment paint on the dashes.

And if you cannot find an individual to take on the job, Grain It Technologies in Florida https://woodgraining.com/?page_id=242 in addition to selling the kits and tools for a DIY approach also has a restoration service that will do the graining.

Thanks for the response - I checked with GIT and if I do the prep work and prime and the final clear coat they will woodgrain for $800, my three pieces of dash and four window moldings (convertible). I think I will get a kit and do myself.

My experience with multiple 37-120's is you do not need a kit. Can be done by hand with a few tricks I'd be happy to share. Going to Hershey? see me there, or i have the 3 pcs of dash ready to go.

Dwight, I have done all the woodgraining on my 37 Super Eight window frames. I now have the plate for doing the burl dash as well. I would be happy to help.
