The 32-39 Twin Six and Twelve fuel pump has a rather extended arm and over many years of service it often tends to relax a bit which will result in a shortened pump stroke and decreased fuel delivery. If you have occasion to remove one of these pumps and do not see that a strengthening gusset has been added during a prior rebuild, you should consider a rebuilder who has the proper jig to reform the arm to it's original configuration and add the gusset. The particular pump pictured was rebuilt by Gould Rebuilders. There is a steel web inserted beneath the braze or weld.
