Dave, got it apart.
Since it was a solid pin and not a hollow roll pin after I filed off peening to drive it out I couldn't find it to hit it dead on center. So I carefully filed off the other side being very careful to note where the peened head had been and again lost it. Tried crack check stuff, Dykem Blue, slight heating, nothing showed the pin. Anyway, luckily finally hit the right location.
Still measuring etc. but the bushings seem tight. Could there be play between the shaft and the piece with the cam lobes and if so how can I take that play out? FYI of all places there are some videos out there RE Jeeps which use an Autolite distributor.
Roll pin is 1/8"x3/4".

Re: 1936 120 Point Issues
If the wear is between the cam lobe section and the shaft, it no doubt came from the lack of lubrication (usually a felt wick under the rotor). I've no experience with servicing that problem other than replacement of parts.

Dave, thanks for all your help. Original dual point rebuilt. Think I've got it timed well. Will know better when I hopefully get it out tomorrow. Jack
