Brakes Lines replacement

Post by Dquale » Fri Jan 31, 2020 4:14 pm

I am trying to order some stainless steel brake lines from Kanter for my 1949 2271-9 Super Deluxe Eight and they called me up and asked if it was the LWB. They don't have the specs for that one. They asked me to measure the lines with some string. Is there anywhere to get the information that they would need to make these lines? And another question. Would the lines be the same configuration only longer for the LWB models (I'm assuming the issue is with the front to back line) Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry, can't be of much help. The wheelbase of a 2271 is 141 inches. The Packard specifications do not give dimensional details of the metal brake lines.

Thanks for the reply Dave. I will get it figured out. May just have to take the lines off and send them in. Did I notice that you have a 2271 also? Mine is 2271-9-2619. Seems like they they came off the line close together. Engine G42312CE. Body Number 2271-2619.
