My Friend gave me a used Master Cylinder that was from his 37 Packard 120 that he sold a few years ago and I am going to rebuild for a future backup. Some time in the past it was disassembled and I now need a diagram of the correct order of the parts for reassembly. I can't seem to find one? I did look through a couple of old Motor Manuals and of course the Packard Manual. Does anyone have a cutaway type of diagram that will show the position of all components?
Visit www.packardinfo.com and click on the Literature and Manuals line on the left side. They have an owner's manual for the 1936 120 there. On page 45 there is a cutaway view of the master cylinder. According to the 1935-1941 Parts List (also on the Packard Info site) the master cylinder used in 1936 is the same as in the 1937 model. The Parts list also has a sketch of the disassembled master cylinder and its parts on page 11 of the brake section.
