My new hobby

Post by Otis49er » Mon Jan 20, 2014 7:17 pm

My 1941 Packard business coupe 1901 series 1498 was rescued from a local backyard. Having spent 10 year out in the weather, the car needed lots of attention. Luckily the chrome pieces were stored inside. The car drives pretty good now. What's left to do for me is installing the new wire harness, Grain It dash, and new upholstery.

Good looking '41 Coupe! For some strange reason I like 'em.

Nice looking car! I have always liked the business coupe look. To me, it seems very decadant.

Can I ask, where is the setting for the photograph?

Adam This setting is my front driveway. I live in rural Northern California above San Francisco 150 miles. Could be U. K. In the country? Bob

Bob, what a wonderful driveway!! It has a North American look about it which does not exist in the UK. I do love the western states.

I dove into my Packard this morning, taking out all the original wiring, and removing the dash and window garnish. I will take the dash and trim down to get sand blasted, and ready for the new finish. When I took out the front seat there was an original Packard key chain . Maybe a good luck charm.

Otis, still working on your wiring harness? It's been a while.
