Dave is correct. The 22nd/23rd series used a cable not a braided strap. Attached to the engine using the rear bolt of the bottom generator bracket.

Just a note...We added a second 00 gauge ground cable to the frame on our 1949 288 Deluxe, and it made quite a difference, in the cranking speed of the old girl...sort of gave her a 'Goose' of sorts. You might try it. Ernie in Arizona ;)
