Hello,
The part number on the base of the mirror that I have is 318784. When I googled the part number it came up as a 1935-1941. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Ron

318784 is an Antiqua Tan inside rear view mirror for body types 1182-4-5-8-9. These correspond to the 1938 6-cylinder cars.

Not sure about the significance of the chromium plating, part no. 318784 was painted, not plated. 318785 was the chrome-plated version and used in the higher end cars of 1938 and other years and models as well. Perhaps yours was plated subsequent to delivery of the car by the factory?
