Firewall Tag
Firewall Tag
I have enclosed a picture of a small metal tag that is on the top left side of the firewall on my '38 1608. Anyone know what it is and says?

Re: Firewall Tag
I don't see any picture, perhaps you need to reduce the file size or simplify the file name?

Re: Firewall Tag
I've not seen all that many 1938 Twelves, but doesn't look familiar to me. Some dealers added little plates to record oil changes and grease jobs, etc. and I suppose it could have been something loke that. You've probably already told me but is this a Detroit or Canadian built? RHD or LHD? Patent plate decal still readable?
Can you make out any characters on that plate? How is it attached?

David,
It is attached with rivets, very small rivets. Car came out of California where is was its whole life supposedly. LHD can't read the firewall decal due to some kind of overspray. I was going to take a rubbing to see what I might be able to figure out.
